Pilates - Mat Essentials

What to Expect - Mat Pilates is an energizing practice focusing on a balanced workout with the correct form to create strength, stability, flexibility, endurance, and elongation of your muscles. This low-intensity class will progressively teach you the fundamental movements of the Pilates mat repertoire.

Everyday Strong - Senior's Fitness Program - Monday

What to Expect - We will perform various functional exercises. This class is designed to improve posture, flexibility, muscular strength, and balance. We use light weights and resistance bands to challenge muscular strength and endurance. The exercises will be performed standing or seated, ensuring everyone can participate. It is an excellent class for anyone uncomfortable getting on the floor.

Functional Movement Group Class

**FUNctional Movement** - Join us for a fun and energizing group class! We'll kick things off with a warm-up that gets your body moving, followed by some multi-joint strength-building exercises, all set to a fantastic playlist of uplifting tunes. After that, we'll transition to the mat to focus on core strengthening. We’ll wrap up with a nice, long stretch to help you relax. This class is sure to bring back the nostalgic vibes of those awesome aerobic classes from the 80s and 90s—without the leg warmers and thong body suits of course!

The many benefits of functional fitness include some of the following:

Introduction to Pilates - Personal Assessment (new clients only)

The Introduction to Pilates private package includes:
Two private sessions (50 minutes).

At Encore, we aim to provide personalized workouts (even in our small group classes). To achieve this, I must understand your wellness goals, health history, and current activity level. You will be invited to attend two private sessions.

During the first session, we will review your goals, health history, posture, alignment, and any mobility issues that need attention. You will go over the six core principles of Pilates and Joseph Pilates' methodology, and you will be introduced to the reformer apparatus. The second session will be tailored based on the information collected during our first meeting.

Once we complete our introductory sessions, we'll discuss the best way to continue: group, private, semi-private reformer sessions, or other ENCORE group classes. We want to ensure you find the option that is right for you!

Reformer Pilates - Group Class

What to expect - Reformer group classes incorporate traditional and contemporary Pilates exercises, focusing on strength, endurance, mobility, stretching, posture, balance, and coordination.

Each class can accommodate up to four clients, enabling the instructor to provide personalized guidance.
